Islands of the Pacific – Series 2 is a three-part series following Martin Clunes as he travels across the Pacific Ocean, discovering a diverse array of people, landscapes and wildlife on the way. In February 2020, Martin was about to board a plane for Papua New Guinea. At the same time, a mysterious new virus was creeping ever closer to the remote islands of the world he has been exploring for a decade. At the last minute, the trip was aborted and – just as sadly – Covid 19 found its inevitable way into paradise. Now, finally, Martin can return to complete his mission, moving north into a vast swathe of tropical waters littered with beautiful islands; and yet remain defiantly off the conveyor belt of modern tourism.
