Update from Nepal
18th June 2015An email from Dinesh Dekota – 18th June 2015
Hello Martin,
Greetings in abundance and thank you kindly for your support. I hope you are not sick of the endless thank you’s that we bestow upon you but I guess there is not much else to say in such circumstances really. Anyway please find below is a note that we have been sending out to other friends also. It is regarding the latest installations.
The monsoons looks like its knocking on the doors and unfortunately we have been a bit behind schedule as circumstances have somewhat conspired against us. However, we are planning to stock raw materials in advance so that we do not face the same delays again.
On a happier note, we have just come back from two villages where we installed the latest edition of the shelters. One at a village called Nawalpur and the other at a village called Bandegaon.
The school at Nawalpur was completely destroyed and the children were taking their classes in temporary tents. They now have a spanking classroom for themselves and a shelter for them and their parents during monsoon deluges.
Bandegaon – another village that was leveled by the earthquake now has a shiny new shelter for the residents there who are mostly elderly as the youth have left in droves in search of work to India and the Middle East.
There is a photo attached of the locals felicitating us but the credit it due to you also.
As always, we thank you for your cooperation and generosity in making this happen.
Thank you very much Martin (again)
Dinesh and Tripple
